Every tool and function in Vectary can be accessed with your mouse by clicking on icons or menu items. To speed up your design process even more, you can also use keyboard shortcuts.

To make it easier for you, we have classified shortcuts into four main types:

- Universal Shortcuts - also known from other software and tools
- Essential Shortcuts - you may use these a lot to save “traveling time” with your mouse pointer
- Edit Mode Shortcuts - you can access them only when editing the mesh of a 3D model
- Advanced/Additional Shortcuts

Universal Shortcuts

Undo - Ctrl+Z (Cmd+Z on Mac)
Redo - Ctrl+Shift+Z (Cmd+Shift+Z)

Select all unlocked objects - Ctrl+A (Cmd+A on Mac)
Deselect or cancel - press “Esc” key

Copy selection - Ctrl+C(Cmd+C on Mac)
Paste selection - Ctrl+V (Cmd+V on Mac)
Cut selection - Ctrl+X (Cmd+X on Mac)
Duplicate objects - Ctrl+D (Cmd+D on Mac)
Delete selection - “Del” or “Backspace”

Save project - Ctrl+S (Cmd+S on Mac)
Import - Ctrl+I (Cmd+I on Mac)
Export - Ctrl+E (Cmd+E on Mac)
Group objects - Ctrl+G (Cmd+G on Mac)
Ungroup objects - Ctrl+Shift+G (Cmd+Shift+G on Mac) 

Essentials Shortcuts

Pan scene - right mouse drag anywhere on the scene
Zoom scene - scroll with mouse anywhere on the scene
Rotate scene - left mouse drag anywhere on the scene

Select object - left click on any unlocked object on the scene
Select a sub-object - hold “Ctrl” (Cmd on Mac) and click on any object on the scene
Select multiple objects - hold Shift + left click on multiple objects one by one
Duplicate object - hold Alt + drag gizmo arrows to new location of your copy
Open group in isolation mode - double click on grouped objects or press “Enter” 

Toggle Render on / off - cycle through render states by pressing “R”

Fit to view - pressing key “A” fits the selected object to your viewport
Fit all objects on screen - either having all selected “ctrl+a” and press “A” or having none selected and pressing “A” both work
Toggle camera / magnetic views - cycle through all views by pressing “Tab” multiple times
Switch gizmo local / global - cycle through gizmo types by pressing “W”

Toggle snapping on / off - cycle through snapping states by pressing “S”
Rectangular marquee selection - press key “M” and drag rectangular selection
Lasso marquee selection - press key “L” and draw freehand selection

Edit Mode Shortcuts

Add a New Object to object list (go to edit mode) - Shift+N
Open Edit mode - double click on a mesh object or press “Enter”
Close Edit mode - press “Esc” key
Toggle Display modes - cycle through display modes by pressing “Space”
Draw lines tool - press “D”
Bevel selection - press “B” key a handler will appear drag handler or click on handler for more settings

Extrude selection - Shift+drag arrow direction 

Subdivision Smoothing on - press key “+”
Subdivision Smoothing off - press key “-”

Selection type points - press key “1”
Selection type lines - press key “2”
Selection type faces - press key “3”

Paint selection tool - press “P” and select by painting, modify with “P+ hold Shift” to add or “P+hold Alt” to subtract selection
Selections jog menu- press key “K” 

Loop selec - press “N” a handler appears, slide a copy “Shift +drag handler”
Grow selection - Ctrl+] (Cmd+] on Mac)
Shrink selection - Ctrl+[ (Cmd+[ on Mac )

Draw primitive objects tool - cycle through primitive objects by pressing “Shift+D” 

Extrude tool - press “E”
Bridge tool - press “V” 

Slide tool - press “N” a handler appears, slide a copy “Shift +drag handler”
Cut tool - press “C”
Collapse mesh selection into one point - press key “X” 

Select Open boundaries - pressing “O” selects all holes in active mesh, pressing “O” when having a line of a particular hole selected selects only this open boundary
Cap Open boundaries - press Ctrl+O (Cmd+O on Mac) 

Mesh tools jog menu- press key “J”
Quadify mesh - press key Shift+K

Comment Mode - press Shift+C

Grid show / hide - Ctrl+’ (Cmd+’ on Mac)
Objects list show / hide - Shift+O
