Mia, I used the "Draw Lines" tool and traced a "polyline" with snap to end points of the edges on a baked copy of the mask surface.
I keep that mesh more dense, baking it to the highest smoothing value, in order to have my traced lines close-fitting to the surface.
I used "Joints and Wires" tool to generate surfaces around the lines, then I deleted lines and high-smoothed mesh...
Andrej, it took a bit of time to setup colors and materials for every single object since they came out from Vectary to Simlab without the chosen colors. The rendering itself took a little time, about 10 minutes
or less for every picture.
